WHY SHOULD YOU HIRE ME AS YOUR SPEAKER AND/OR COACH?
- First, people consider me an expert in criminal justice reform, reentry, homelessness, housing services, social enterprises, and criminal behavioral modification.
- I was once a criminal, and I went to prison for 22 years where I began to reform and reshape my life.
- After being released from prison in 2012, I built a multi-million-dollar organization that continues to transform the lives of hundreds of people every year.
- The misunderstanding about the impact that crime has on the criminal justice system and how we get to the root of the problem which allows us to create fruitful and safe environments for the whole of society.
- The misunderstandings that occur around perceived racism, stereo types and tensions that causes members of the community to dislike and distrust one another by assuming, "once a criminal always a criminal," etc.
- Better decision making in determining laws, policies, ordinances around the criminal justice system, educational and public safety.
- Bring people together in the same room who would not normally be willing to come together in the same spaces.
- Teach individuals how to co-exist with a desire to take actions in their own personal dealings with other people, especially in public spaces like school and workspaces.
- Free access to education on the root causes of crime and the trauma that is causes all sides. This should be available for all people impacted by the criminal justice system as a survivor or perpetrator.
- Form communication circles for all types of communities that allows for constructive dialogue on crime and punishment and disrupt the misconceptions about people who commit crimes.
- Invest in programs that cater to the specific needs of our own community.

Creating New Leaders
Youth Mentor & Entrepreneurship
For the past two decades plus, Yusef Wiley have been mentoring young men from ages 12 to 19 as well as young college age adults. As a youth mentor in America there are so many challenges that parents face in this digital age of social media where TikTok has replaced parent and uncle influence, where gaining likes on IG has replaced a college education or a vocational trade. Yusef Wiley is very much in tune with the current state of affairs and is experienced to help young people navigate the power of dominant culture and mass media that divert attention away from successful pathways.
With the lack of strong and positive role models within dominant culture, parents are finding themselves extremely frustrated and powerless in guiding there young boys into becoming responsible young adults, so if we don't act now, they will indeed be loss. Mentoring has been used since the beginning of time and continues to be the answer in finding the rights of passage that will preserve the development of positive manhood.

Never underestimate the power of a mentorship
BiographyAndre Lovell Wiley, known as Yusef Wiley is the founder and CEO of Timelist Group, Inc. By the age of 13, he started associating with gang members and getting into trouble around the neighborhood. After serving a juvenile sentence, Mr. Wiley continued his gang involvement with other known gang members earning a reputation as a gang banger in the areas of South-Central LA, which eventually landed him in the Correctional system in the state of California at the age of 21. After being placed in solitary confinement, Mr. Wiley began to discover his spirituality and later converted to Islam. It was his spiritual faith that took him away from the destructive lifestyle of the gangs to a more purposeful and honorable way of living, by 2001 he began his sacred training under Shaykh Rami Nsour via Zaytuna Institute and later under Tayba Foundation where his teacher (as Director) began to dedicate his work towards Islamic education for Muslim inmates. Though Yusef turned away from gang activity, he never went into protective custody or became, what Correctional officials call, “a drop-out.” He served close to 22 years before he was released on May 24, 2012, at the age of 43. Mr. Wiley has now been working for many years to end gang and youth violence through his development and writing intervention and rehabilitation programs.
The Timelist Group (a not-for-profit pre-release/post-release) is a rehabilitation program which also provides housing for parolees and probationers in Los Angeles California and trainings at several CDCR facilities. Yusef Wiley has assisted several reentry start-up organizations in Northern and Southern California, he is a former Commissioner on the Human Relations Commission of the City of Union City. Yusef has also served on Alameda County Reentry Panels and Advisory Boards. He is an author and has gained an AA degree in Small Business Management and Paralegal work. Additionally, Yusef Wiley is a certified trainer and Personal Coach with the John Maxwell Team platform and has several business ventures and related partnerships with both private and public sector institutions. |
Besides Inspiring Entrepreneurs and Leaders, I welcome Speaking requests from Educational Institutions, Corporations, Government and Correctional Agencies in hopes to create mutually beneficial relationships and collaborations that support positive societal growth.

Testimonials
“The U.S. Department of State’s International Visitors Leadership Program (IVLP) connects emerging foreign leaders with their professional counterparts in the U.S. to cultivate international cooperation and understanding. In the past several months, Yusef Andre Wiley has met two IVLP groups, whose program topics were related to reentry for men and women in the United States. He spoke with both delegations about rehabilitation and prevention for at-risk populations and provided a unique, firsthand perspective to the issue of incarceration as an ex-gang member. - Danica Kreculj, Program Officer at IVCLA
" Yusef Wiley has been instrumental in assisting our organization, Ten Toes In with working with our formerly incarcerated brothers with our Mentorship Program. This Mentorship Program is an accountability relationship with our formerly incarcerated Ten Toes In brothers and newly paroled men who are married or in committed relationships.
Yusef also rebuilt our website and gave it a more professional appearance. He added all of the programs and services that Ten Toes In currently provides and will provide in the future.
Finally, he helped to create our Curriculum, Intimate Relationships 101. This curriculum facilitates a six month class twice a month at Avenal and Pleasant Valley State Prisons and it teaches the men to be better men for themselves and their partners in a marriage or committed relationship. It also teaches life skills while incarcerated and it prepares them for a successful reentry. Ten Toes In is proud of the Partnership that we have cultivated with Yusef Wiley and his TEAM. " - Darlene Burke, Executive Director at Ten Toes In
